With volunteers at ACT Festival 2019, photo: Ivan Danchev So i-Portunus turned out to be the perfect solution in my case. Around this time, rumours started circulating in artistic circles about a new mobility contest, which is directly linked to the European Commission. In order for this exchange to take place, I had to find funding. It comprises more than 450 organisations and artists involved in dance, theatre, circus, and performance from around the world. In addition to my involvement with the ACT Independent Theatre Festival, an opportunity came up for me to go on an exchange with a partner organisation from the Performing Arts Network – IETM. Photo: Christofor Balabanov How did you decide to apply? I see myself growing not only in the area of culture, but also where it intersects with urban problems, with social and environmental causes. My main desire with regard to the cultural sector is to increase support for the independent sector. At the same time, I was an intern at “Vision for Sofia”. In 2019, I worked for the ACT Independent Theatre Festival, “36 Monkeys – Organization for Contemporary Alternative Art and Culture”, Sofia Film Fest, and others. Over the past 8 years, I have been involved in cultural projects of various scale and type, and in the last 3 years also in urban research and planning. I have earned a degree in cultural studies from Sofia University, and then a master’s degree in urban research. What do you do? Where and how do you see yourself developing? In November 2019, Adi spent two consecutive weeks in London with the help of i-Portunus. One of her wishes is that experience and policies acquired from abroad should not be applied automatically in local conditions. What would be the most useful is the ‘What-if’ analysis, i.e., the Null Hardware override. We meet Adi Kaneva, who, in addition to being a young professional, can also be introduced as a critical enthusiast dedicated to change in the environment. I was able to launch the System Analyzer and gather some useful information, but what I really need access to are the additional metrics offered by the HUD, especially the GPU Busy %, Pixels rendered, etc. When I launch VS 2015 with Graphics Monitor it launches successfully, but hangs as soon as I try to load a project file. VS 2015 has a similar level of complexity although it is not the kind of application that you would necessarily want to profile with the Graphics Monitor, I thought it might be at least, an interesting test. My best guess as to why it fails is because of some change in the environment, i.e., the expected working directory has changed and our application fails to load because of the relative location of resources to the working directory. It runs as expected standalone, but will not load correctly when I attempt to launch it with the Graphics Monitor. It’s an exe that launches at least one other exe. Our application has a complex configuration. I also updated the file for the injection list (./IntelSWTools/GPA_16.1/InjectionList.txt). Right click monitor -> Preference -> Auto Detect Launched applications (Check). I’ve tried running with Global Injection Enabled. I have been unsuccessful in activating the System Analyzer HUD in our application, It works as expected in the sample applications, i.e., City Racer.
